Proof of Ownership

Since we opened our doors back in 1990, Rapid Key Recovery has asked every single customer for picture ID and Proof of ownership.

What IS Proof of Ownership? 

So, what is proof of ownership you might ask. For a vehicle, proof of ownership is as simple as an insurance card which has your name and the VIN# for the vehicle that you may be asking us to make keys for or to just unlock. Sometimes the card is inside the vehicle which is fine but we also accept a picture of the insurance card that you can download on your phone from your insurance company.

If you are asking us to let you into a home or to rekey a house. Your driver’s license or state issued ID with that address is proof.

Although some customers find this inconvenient, we ask for Picture ID and Proof of Ownership for both your protection as well as ours.
